The Community Contributions offer a wide range of KNIME nodes from different application areas, such as chemo- and bioinformatics, image processing, or information retrieval. In contrast to the extensions available via the standard KNIME Update Site they are provided and maintained by various community developers.

If you want to try out some the Community Contributions, simply add one of the following Update Sites

• http://tech.knime.org/update/community-contributions/nightly for the nightly builds or download a zipped update site
• http://tech.knime.org/update/community-contributions/2.6 for a stable (but slightly older) version compatible with KNIME 2.6 or download a zipped update site (latest version 2013-02-21).
• http://tech.knime.org/update/community-contributions/2.7 for a stable (but slightly older) version compatible with KNIME 2.7 or download a zipped update site (latest version 2013-05-07).

The newly installed nodes will appear in KNIME in a new category "Community Nodes". You can have a look at the KNIME Update Description for details on how to add an update site to KNIME.
